Translate your Readme.io pages!

1- Log into your Readme.io dashboard: Log into the Readme.io dashboard, and navigate to edit the site you want to translate.

Once on the dashboard page, click 'Appearance' on the left:

 

                                         

Then click 'Custom Javascript':

                                     

2- Get the Translate code: Open up a new browser window and, if you haven't already, sign up for an account at Translate.com (or just log in!). Then click 'Website Translator on the left, followed by 'Add New Website' to get started: 

 

          

 

Add your domain name and click next:

 

                                

 

Then, select your site source language as well as all of the languages you want to translate into and click next:

 

 

Copy the code snippet, which your page will need for the translation (yours will have an actual key rather than just "my-key"):

 

      

3- Insert the Website Translator code: Return to the Readme.io page, and paste the code snippet from the last section into the 'Custom Javascript' section:

 

         

After pasting the code snippet add '</script>' (not quotes) right in front of it, so that the code in the box looks like this:

 

         

 

 

4- Ensure that the widget appears in your app: The Website Translator widget should appear in the bottom right corner of your page. Click to see language options! (Allow around an hour for translations to appear.):
